A lot of academic work is done on the history of Mangalore, but it is all limited to archives and academic circles. MHG is dedicated to bringing these out to the public. This research work of Dr. P Gururaja Bhatt is considered as one of the most important works to understand of the history of the region. However, as the name suggests the work is primarily researched on the Tulu speaking communities. This book is published five years after Dr K V Ramesh’s work.
